Mr. Joydeep Majumder, the Founder, Chairman & Managing Director of Arpita Agro Products Pvt. Ltd. and Proprietor of Joy Majumder & Co. (JMC), is a seasoned entrepreneur whose career spans nearly four decades across real estate development, manufacturing, and diversified business operations. Mr. Majumder began his professional journey after graduating from St. Xavier’s/Jadavpur College and completing Inter CA, soon taking up his first role in marketing at Brooke Bond, where he developed the strong commercial acumen that would shape his entrepreneurial future.
In 1985, Mr. Majumder entered the real estate sector, long before Kolkata’s modern housing demand took shape. His early understanding of the market’s evolving needs allowed him to pioneer affordable yet quality-driven homes for the emerging middle class. Recognising the region’s potential, he formally established Arpita Agro Products Pvt. Ltd. in 1992, followed by Joy Majumder & Co. in 1995, expanding the group into both manufacturing and large-scale construction.
Under his leadership, Arpita Agro Products created the well-known household brand “Nimyle,” which later developed a partnership with ITC—a testament to his ability to build brands with national-level resonance.
His leadership continues to propel the group forward, backed by a strong team of architects, engineers, designers, and planners who work closely under his strategic vision. Together, they remain committed to delivering homes and commercial spaces that match the lifestyle aspirations and budgets of today’s evolving buyers.
